ChargePoint has introduced the Flex Plus EV home charger for European fleet markets, specifically targeting the region’s company car segment, which accounts for 60% of new vehicle sales. The Flex Plus integrates with ChargePoint’s Driver Management Solution software, allowing fleet managers to accurately reimburse drivers for home energy usage, oversee public charging activities and maintain comprehensive fleet activity insights.

The Flex Plus debuts as the first charger built on ChargePoint’s new AC charging platform, integrating real-time dynamic load management which optimizes charging rates based on available electricity. This feature allows faster remote charging while preventing costly home electrical service upgrades. Additionally, the system is designed with smart home compatibility features to integrate solar panels, batteries, and broader home energy management components.

A unique backplate mounting system enhances portability. Designed for fleet managers controlling charger assets, this system allows drivers to easily remove and reinstall their chargers, aiding asset management while reducing relocation costs when moving residences.

ChargePoint’s Driver Management Solution software provides fleet managers with tools for onboarding drivers, managing driver groups, assigning specific charging rules, consolidating VAT invoicing across multiple regions, and monitoring activity via a central dashboard. Fleet car drivers benefit through simplified home charger installation and streamlined access to public charging via a customizable app or in-vehicle interfaces.

The ChargePoint Flex Plus can now be ordered as part of its Driver Management Solution, with initial deliveries anticipated later this summer.
