General Electric (GE) plans to purchase 2,000 Ford C-MAX Energi PHEVs for its corporate fleet – Ford’s largest fleet sale of a plug-in model to date. To be certified to sell electric vehicles, a Ford dealer must meet a list of requirements, including making two charging stations available.
The new feature uses onboard GPS and predictive algorithms to learn the location of a vehicle and identify places that are visited on a frequent basis, such as home and work.
Buyers of the 2013 C-Max Energi are eligible for a $3,750 federal tax credit and, in California, a $1,500 rebate.
