Munters has secured a $30 million order from a US-based commercial battery cell manufacturer. The order covers delivery of Munters’ Low Dew Point (LDP) dehumidifiers as well as additional high-performance desiccant dehumidification units and field service work.
The US customer manufactures battery cells for use in heavy- and medium-duty vehicles. Munters says the LDP dehumidifiers are specifically engineered for battery dry-room manufacturing environments, offering ultra-dry air at low temperatures to meet demanding process requirements.

Munters’ LDP dehumidifiers featuring the HPX rotor, developed to achieve very low dew points. According to Munters, the system provides production environments with dew points as low as minus 110 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 78 degrees Celsius), and can reach even lower values when integrated with other Munters technologies.
“We are very proud to have secured this order from a new customer, a testament that our mission-critical solutions and broad application knowledge position us well despite the current challenging battery market,” said Henrik Teiwik, President of Munters’ AirTech business. “While we expect this current market environment to persist through 2026, we see electrification and the transition to a low-carbon economy as an important long-term growth driver for AirTech.”
Deliveries of the equipment are scheduled for the second and third quarters of 2026.
