Phihong introduces 7.7 kW charger for the North American market

Phihong, an OEM electronics manufacturer, has introduced a 7.7 kW charger for the North American market.

The AC32 7.7 kW AC charger weighs less than 7 kg (15 lbs) and requires a single-phase 220 to 240 Vac input. It can be wall-mounted or free standing. The chargers are outdoor-rated and can withstand operating temperatures between -30º C and +50º C.

A 5-inch LCD monitor displays charging status and an optional RFID unit handles charging authorization through a built-in RFID reader. Communications occur through a LAN connection, and include options for 4G or WiFi. Users can monitor the charger remotely and manage troubleshooting, self-diagnosis, charging status, and firmware updates for preventive maintenance.

Phihong Director of Sales and Marketing Bill Morrison said, “The AC32 chargers are the first of many products to be introduced in this market with future announcements of portable chargers, mobile chargers and high-power DC chargers coming to the US market in the near future.”
