US EV charging software and services provider MoveEV has partnered with Canada-based telematics company Geotab to integrate MoveEV’s ReimburseEV software into the Geotab Marketplace, which is an extensive charging management ecosystem of third-party and Geotab-developed applications and add-ons.
The integration is designed to allow fleets with a variety of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids to use a single home-charging reimbursement application.
The integration allows MoveEV to access charging data directly from fleet vehicles used with all types of chargers, including trickle chargers. The reimbursement process is simplified by combining this data with home utility information to create detailed IRS-compliant receipts for each home charging event.
Efficient home charging, in turn, allows companies to benefit from off-peak rates and minimize on-site charging infrastructure.
“Our software is designed for simplicity and user-friendliness, and Geotab’s telematics solution complements this perfectly,” said David Lewis, CEO of MoveEV. “This collaboration enhances our service, making it an effortless add-on for businesses and government organizations transitioning to greener fleets.”
