EO Charging to electrify Augusta Transit bus depot in Georgia

UK-headquartered EO Charging, a global provider of electric charging infrastructure and services for depot-based fleets, has been chosen to spearhead the electrification of the bus depot of Augusta Transit, a public transit provider in Augusta, Georgia.

Funding of $12 million for the project was awarded to Augusta Transit by the Federal Transit Administration’s Bus and Bus Facilities grant program in July.

The funds will be used to purchase six electric buses, charging equipment, infrastructure, and a 360-degree bus operator training simulator. EO will provide its Charge Assurance Solution services that encompass the design, construction, installation, and ongoing operations and maintenance of the EV infrastructure.
