Electrify America and 4 Gen Logistics open electric truck charging station

US EV fast charging network Electrify America, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group of America, and California-based trucking company 4 Gen Logistics, have installed 14 hyper-fast chargers to support 4 Gen’s fleet of Class 8 drayage trucks.

4 Gen’s facility in Rialto, California, is part of a broader initiative to reduce Southern California tailpipe emissions, particularly near the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The first phase includes 44 chargers in Rialto and at the Port of Long Beach.

Partial funding of the project’s first phase comes through Electrify America’s $25-million Green City investment, which focuses on medium- and heavy-duty electrification projects in Long Beach and LA’s Wilmington neighborhood.
