Delta-Q releases stackable charging software that can deliver up to 7.5 kW

Delta-Q Technologies, a manufacturer of charging solutions for industrial equipment and EVs, has released a stackable charging software product that can combine two to six Delta-Q chargers to deliver up to 7.5 kW.

The Vancouver-based company says it designed the system for OEMs in need of a charging solution that is modular, scalable, and distributable across their vehicles or equipment. The charging solution can be used as an onboard or offboard charger or as a combination of the two. It offers CAN bus communication for BMS charge control, vehicle, and telematics system integration. It also supports North American and European standards for charging stations.

Delta-Q says the new charger is ideal for EVs in the urban mobility, utility, articulated booms, compact construction, and material handling industries. The company plans to begin production in November 2019.

Steve Blaine, Executive VPt of Engineering and Quality at Delta-Q, said, “With this new software, our products can scale across our customers’ electric product lines. OEMs will also have the flexibility to choose how they want to charge their products based on their needs.”
