Battle Motors introduces LET2 EV refuse truck in California

US vocational truck manufacturer Battle Motors has debuted its three-axle LET2 (Low Entry Tilt 2) refuse truck in Southern California through Velocity Truck Centers. The trucks have an 8.67-ton legal payload capacity, and integrate Heil Rapid Rail automated side loader technology, and are eligible for the California HVIP program.

In-cab technologies include a digital dash and the company’s proprietary RevolutionOS and MobilEye vision-based safety systems.

“The Battle Motors LET2 EV with Heil Rapid Rail is poised to handle 1,000 to 1,200 refuse containers per day and between 8 and 10 hours on route before needing a recharge,” said Ron Creighton, Fleet and Municipal Sales Representative at Velocity Truck Centers.
