Looking for a pioneering solution for complex design optimization challenges, ZF—a global technology company supplying systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and industrial technology—partnered with Altair to implement a data-driven development and optimization strategy for e-motors.
The collaborative work of ZF and Altair has resulted in a user-friendly optimization environment capable of handling the complex definition of an e-motor platform design problem.
In this presentation at the Charged Virtual Conference on EV Engineering, we will talk about how ZF and Altair developed a software solution for the optimization of modular motor platforms. Dr. Lars Fredriksson, Vice President of Global Automotive Business at Altair, will provide an overview of this unique solution, which enables designers to find the optimal all-in-one motor platform across various motor configurations, enabled by a model database and fully automated combinatorics. He will also explain how Altair eMotor Director’s advanced user interface leverages Altair HyperStudy to perform optimizations at large scale.
