KORE Power chooses Siemens to provide infrastructure tech for Arizona battery plant

US battery cell developer KORE Power has selected manufacturing conglomerate Siemens to support the KOREPlex, KORE’s planned 12 GWh lithium-ion battery cell production facility in the Phoenix area.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure technology and capital from Siemens Financial Services will, says KORE, help accelerate construction of its Buckeye, Arizona, facility to meet the growing demand for battery cells for EV and renewable-energy storage applications.

KORE says Siemens will provide electrical infrastructure and energy management to automate and digitize building operations. Siemens’s building-management system, Desigo CC, will monitor environmental controls, security, and power distribution systems.
