As battery pack designs rapidly evolve, it is essential that venting solutions also progress to meet application needs. Battery vents must be able to handle a variety of environments from normal operating conditions to extreme edge cases. Proper venting is essential to support battery pack functionality through pressure equalization and emergency degassing.
Join this presentation at our Spring Virtual Conference on EV Engineering, presented by Donaldson Company, to learn about the Top 5 considerations for designing an optimized battery venting solution.
Other sessions at our Spring Virtual Conference include:
Dispensable Thermal Interface Materials: An Overview

Safe Battery Systems: Innovative Materials As A Key Factor For Battery Systems
Passenger safety is key to the mass adoption of EVs. Therefore, high demands are placed on the battery system today and in the future. Materials, for example for Thermal Propagation Prevention, are unavoidable.
The short-term goal here is to maximise the evacuation time of the vehicle occupants in the event of a battery fire. The long-term goal is to prevent the onset and propagation of the battery fire in the first place.
For this purpose, requirement-specific materials must be developed, material application processes implemented and examined in an application-oriented test scenario under conditions that are as realistic as possible.
In this webinar, presented by Henkel, we will present material solutions for Thermal Propagation Prevention, explain the developed application processes, and provide an overview of test methods.

Safe Battery Systems: Innovative Materials As A Key Factor For BattInterconnect Solutions For EV Battery Management Systems
A Battery Management System (BMS) is made up of several electronic systems incorporating interconnect solutions that provide a connection path between the battery pack and various diagnostic, control and monitoring systems.
In this webinar, you will learn about Amphenol’s solution for EV BMS and the need for efficient control and monitoring of an integrated battery system.
