Passenger safety is key to the mass adoption of EVs. Therefore, high demands are placed on the battery system today and in the future. Materials, for example for Thermal Propagation Prevention, are unavoidable.

The short-term goal here is to maximise the evacuation time of the vehicle occupants in the event of a battery fire. The long-term goal is to prevent the onset and propagation of the battery fire in the first place.

For this purpose, requirement-specific materials must be developed, material application processes implemented and examined in an application-oriented test scenario under conditions that are as realistic as possible.

In this webinar, we will present material solutions for Thermal Propagation Prevention, explain the developed application processes, and provide an overview of test methods.
