The Nissan e-NV200 took the title of Europe’s best-selling electric van in 2016, ranking #1 in 17 countries. The UK is the e-NV200’s top market in Europe for Nissan, followed closely by Norway and France.
Global sales are up 7 percent in 2016, and 4,319 units are now on the road.
The e-NV200 is based on Nissan’s NV200 legacy van, and incorporates electric drivetrain technology from the LEAF. Available in both commercial van and passenger variants, the e-NV200 line-up offers panel van, five-seat and seven-seat options, and features a driving range of up to 170 km.
“Aside from its obvious environmental advantages, e-NV200 owners also benefit from its low running costs (as little as €0.03 per km), a smooth and near-silent ride and 40 percent lower servicing costs when compared with an equivalent diesel vehicle,” said Gareth Dunsmore, Director of Electric Vehicles for Nissan Europe.
