Delta-Q Technologies expands RQ series with new battery charger

Delta-Q Technologies, a provider of battery charging solutions, has announced the release of a 700-watt battery charger.

The new RQ700 expands the company’s RQ series of chargers for light EVs, outdoor power equipment and industrial pallet trucks. Delta-Q’s RQ Series includes the RQ350 and now the RQ700, available in 24, 36 and 48 V DC options. The charger has a 12 V DC, 400 mA auxiliary power source for system components. The charger can wake up a battery management system (BMS) in sleep mode and power telematics and other components to keep the battery running after shutting down. The RQ700 is sealed and IP67-rated to resist water and dust intrusion and automotive shock and vibration. The on-board microprocessor allows Unified Diagnostic Services and exact charging even at low state of charge. Three built-in LEDs display charging status, errors and faults, and a push button selects charge algorithms in the field or on customers’ production lines.

“We designed the RQ700 to meet the evolving requirements of our OEM customers’ applications and growing production volumes,” said Lloyd Gomm, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Delta-Q Technologies. “The RQ700’s simplicity, compact size and ease of on-board integration is a game-changer for high-volume OEMs seeking a cost-effective charging solution.”
