Avis Denmark has placed an order for 401 Nissan e-NV200 electric vans and a further 60 LEAFs, bringing the company’s total EV fleet to 861 vehicles. The new vehicles will be offered on long-term leases, not for short-term airport car rentals.

Avis purchased 400 LEAFs in 2014, which were successfully placed through its leasing scheme. The new order includes both passenger and cargo configurations of the e-NV200, a light commercial vehicle that uses the same powertrain as the LEAF.

“We had great success already with the Nissan LEAF in Denmark and we leased all of the units we purchased from Nissan very quickly,” said Avis Denmark Managing Director Kasper Gjedsted. “To follow up that success we have decided to add the e-NV200 vehicle to broaden our offering and appeal to new types of customers.”
