Allison Transmission expands e-Axle product line with European-market and single-engine offerings

Allison Transmission has introduced two new e-Axles: eGen Power 100S and 130D, based on the company’s current eGen Power 100D.

The 100D e-Axle features two electric motors, each capable of generating greater than 200 kW of continuous power, and peak combined power of 648 kW. The eGen Power 100D is capable of supporting up to a 10.4-ton gross axle weight rating, and also includes differential lock functionality.

The eGen Power 130D is designed for the European and Asia/Pacific markets, where many commercial vehicles require a 13-ton gross axle weight rating.

The eGen Power 100S is a single-motor variant of the 100D, capable of generating 212 kW of continuous power, with 324 kW of peak power and 23,500 Nm of torque. The 100S offers a 10.4-ton gross axle weight rating, and features a two-speed parallel axis gear architecture. Its target markets include school buses, as well as medium- and heavy-duty tractor and straight truck 6×2 and 6×4 applications, including refuse trucks.
