Coachmen RV, a division of Forest River, has announced the upcoming release of the RVEX, the company’s first all-electric Class B motorhome. The RVEX “brings cutting-edge electric travel to a broad audience of modern explorers, tech enthusiasts, and sustainability-minded travelers.”
The electric motorhome is expected to have a range of 270 miles. It features a separate house battery system and a 1,000-watt roof-mounted solar array.

The RVEX features extensive lightweighting to help maximize range. Partnering with Genesis Products, Coachmen incorporated innovative, lightweight materials such as G-Strong, a PET foam core replacement for OSB in the ceiling, floor and walls. The cabinetry uses a combination of G-Lite plywood and Lisocore, a panel with a corrugated wood core, which reduces weight by 47% compared to traditional plywood.
The new Coachmen RVEX will make its public debut at the upcoming Forest River Expo. Production is slated to begin in 2026, and the MSRP is expected to be $150,000.
“The RVEX represents a bold first step in Coachmen’s journey into electric vehicle technology, and we are bringing our A game to the B van category,” said Zach Eppers, General Manager at Coachmen RV. “We set out to create an all-electric motorhome that is not only innovative and capable, but also attainable. It delivers exceptional range and cutting-edge features all at a price point that makes EV travel accessible to more people than ever before.”
