PHYTEC Messtechnik produces modular embedded electronics designed to accelerate and simplify the development of EV charging solutions. At the upcoming Power2Drive Europe trade show in Europe, the company will present two new products: the phyVERSO-EVCS charge controller, which features an open-source-based operating system; and the EVCS-Cube—a complete development kit for prototyping and functional testing of AC and DC chargers.
PHYTEC will also display its portfolio of System on Modules, custom hardware development and OEM gateway.
The phyVERSO-EVCS charge controller can be integrated directly into production systems or tailored to individual project needs. It supports both AC and DC charging, is compatible with OCPP, PLC and V2G standards, and is pre-configured for the EVerest open-source charging stack. The Yocto Linux-based operating system enables secure remote access, maintenance and OTA updates.
PHYTEC’s EVCS-Cube, developed in partnership with Pionix, Frickly Systems, CuroCon and Alp, is designed to support fast prototyping and development. Built on the phyVERSO-EVCS controller, it includes an evaluation version of the PIONIX BaseCamp Charger OS. All electronic components are pre-installed in a rugged housing, making Basic Mode charging immediately possible. The EVCS-Cube is available in both DC charging and AC charging variants.
