Honda recently announced several new electromotive concept models that will be on display at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011 in early December 2011. Featuring two, three and four wheel commuter vehicles, Honda states that these innovative models offer a fun, environmentally-friendly, and simple way for individuals to commute in the future. Some of Honda’s automobile electromotive concept models include:
Small Sports EV (pictured above)
This next-generation EV sports model integrates environmentally friendliness with the joy of driving.
Micro Commuter
This futuristic compact electric urban commuter vehicle promises to offer a more accessible form of transportation for consumers. This vehicle was created in conjunction between Honda's automobile and motorcycle R&D teams.
AC-X
The AC-X is a next-generation plug-in hybrid vehicle that claims to offer a "more comfortable and enjoyable time in the vehicle during all driving situations, from urban to long-distance driving."
Some of Honda’s motorcycle electromotive concept models include:
RC-E
This EV version of a sports bike offers a fun, smooth, and powerful and smooth ride via its 250cc-class compact body.
Motor Compo
This compact EV commuter is useful as a two-wheeler, but the motorcycle can also be utilised as an energy power source via a detachable battery.
E-Canopy
This next-generation scooter integrates a three-wheeled scooter with an EV system that can be used for both business and personal uses.
Other Honda Initiatives:
Besides vehicles, Honda also will display other green-friendly initiatives such as the Honda Smart Home System. This technology features a solar powered system and a gas engine cogeneration unit that promises to reduce household CO2 emissions.
