UK-based reed relay manufacturer Pickering Electronics is releasing its Series 125 miniature double-pole, single-throw reed relay.
The new Series 125 2 Form A reed relays stack on a compact 5 mm x 5 mm pitch, achieving high packing density for a two-pole relay, according to the company. The relays support up to 1 A and 20 W switching power in single-in-line (SIL/SIP), surface mount and other popular package styles. They are available with 3 V, 5 V, or 12 V coil options, including an optional diode.
The relays also include full mu-metal magnetic screening, reducing magnetic interaction between relays from 40% to just 1%. This minimizes magnetic interaction when relays are stacked closely together.
Pickering’s reed relays for high-density test and measurement applications enable customers to fit up to 80% more relays onto their printed circuit boards (PCBs).
“As Pickering continuously improves its reed relay offering for test & measurement instrumentation and automated test equipment, we expect to see interest from diverse sectors and applications, including mixed-signal semiconductor test, high-end cable and backplane testers, signal switching in medical electronics and EV charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation,” said Rob King, Reed Relays Product Manager at Pickering Electronics.
