Danisense says its current transducers are ideal for EV aplications

Denmark and Japan-based Danisense, which provides high-accuracy current sense transducers for demanding applications, has launched a range of current transducers featuring a voltage output.

The range is designed to streamline the workflow for engineers using data acquisition (DAQ) systems for various applications, particularly in harsh environments and high-temperature settings such as EVs.

The DS, DM and DL series devices integrate the burden resistor directly into the current transducer, mitigating the risk of miscalculations. Users can promptly take precise and reliable measurements of AC and DC currents from 55 A up to 3,000 A for their specific applications in a single datasheet.

The current transducers offer a 1 V or 10 V BNC voltage output connection, a large aperture (up to 68 mm) and low linearity errors. They are housed in full aluminum casings for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and incorporate Danisense’s Fluxgate technology. This closed-loop compensated technology with fixed excitation frequency and second harmonic zero flux detection aims to provide accuracy and stability.

The DR series products with voltage output are well suited to high-power current sensing needs up to 11 kA. The transducer core is optimized for high immunity against external magnetic fields. Additional features include a large aperture of up to 150 mm, low linearity errors, a 3-pin XLR mini connector for voltage output and an advanced sensor protection circuit (ASPC).
