Coda names Marvin K. Brown exclusive San Diego dealer

The first Codas are expected to show up at the Marvin K. Brown Auto Center in central San Diego in February, with more locations to follow.

Coda Automotive announced today that well-known auto dealership Marvin K. Brown will be the exclusive purveyor of the new Coda electric sedan in San Diego County. The first Codas are expected to show up at the Marvin K. Brown Auto Center in central San Diego in February, with more locations to follow.

In business since 1950, Marvin K. Brown sells several makes of automobiles, including Cadillac, Saab, Mitsubishi and Fisker.

"We're excited to bring Coda Automotive to San Diego and be a part of the launch of the Coda 2012 sedan," said David Grundstrom, Marvin K. Brown CEO. "It's clear San Diegans are increasingly interested in zero-emission vehicles, and the Coda sedan will resonate with the local community."

"We're thrilled that Marvin K. Brown would become Coda’s first automotive dealer in San Diego and look forward to working together towards our goal of putting an EV in every garage," said Phil Murtaugh, CEO of Coda. "Marvin K. Brown's great customer service, involvement in countless community organizations, numerous awards, extensive automotive industry experience, commitment to EV plug-ins, and immeasurable knowledge of the San Diego community over the past 61 years make it a natural choice in San Diego County."

Coda’s all-electric five-passenger sedan will be on display and available for test drives at the San Diego International Auto Show through January 1.
