Octillion celebrates 100,000 EVs on the road with its batteries, 2 billion km driven

Octillion Power Systems, a Tier 1 supplier of energy storage systems for electric cars, trucks, and buses, has operations in the US, India and China.

In India, the company has shipped more than 600 buses worth of batteries. In the US, Octillion supplies batteries to commercial fleet powertrain manufacturer Lightning Systems and other commercial OEMs.

The company’s current annual production capacity is over 3 gigawatt hours (GWh), and it plans to double this capacity in the next three to four years.

“Over the past 10 years, we have shipped 100,000 EV batteries globally,” said President Paul Beach. “EVs powered by our batteries around the world have been driven more than two billion kilometers. We continue to expand our operations and build on our demonstrated ability to bridge customers from their early steps into the EV marketplace to mass production.”

“Our production capacity and rapid growth are not the only things that set us apart,” Beach said. “Over the past 10 years, our engineers have designed more than 150 different EV pack variants, making our platform-based strategy a versatile hallmark that our customers rely on.”
