New Philaflex EV charging cables are lighter and more flexible

Custom cable and wire manufacturer Philatron recently introduced its new Philaflex material, which is designed to improve the flexibility of conductor insulation and cable jacketing for EV charging cables.

Philatron CEO Phil Ramos Jr. stated, “This new Philaflex material will not only be lighter with more flexibility, but also provides us the ability to manufacture this cable to carry a higher electrical load.”

Philatron says its Philaflex EV cables comply with EU Directive RoHS, are UL-listed at 1,000 volts, and come in multi-conductor sizes ranging from 10 AWG to 4/0 AWG to 500 kcmil, with a temperature range of 105⁰ C to -40⁰ C.
