US-based electric automaker indiGO Tech has completed its acquisition of Clevon, a European unmanned delivery operator, to strengthen its development of advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving features for its upcoming Flow EVs.
Clevon has deployed delivery robots on public roads in Europe and in the US. Its remote operation technology can control vehicles from thousands of miles away, including instances where operators in Europe drove delivery robots in the US.
“This kind of proven, cross-continental control unlocks new possibilities for how vehicles are managed, deployed, and scaled—especially in cities where labor, safety, and uptime are critical,” the company said.
indiGO Tech recently closed $54 million in funding from FedEx, Foxconn and FM Capital. It is building its GO-branded EVs from the wheels up for delivery drivers and businesses. They are designed to be affordable to own, simple to maintain and fully accessible, including wheelchair access. GO’s SmartWheels technology integrates propulsion and suspension into each wheel, creating more interior space with a low flat floor. It is designed for high-uptime applications like last-mile delivery, ride-hailing services and local fleet operations.
The Flow EV series is expected to hit the streets by the end of 2027, and indiGOtech is in talks with fleet operators and mobility platforms to pilot them.
“This acquisition supports our mission to make local electric transport smarter, safer, and widely accessible,” said Will Graylin, CEO of indiGOtech. “By combining proven unmanned driving technology from Clevon with our next-generation vehicles, we’re building EVs that are AV ready, for the demands of today’s drivers and tomorrow’s cities.”
