Faraday Future and US Hybrid partner to provide commercial powertrain units

Faraday Future (FF) has announced an agreement with US Hybrid Corporation to advance the use of FF’s electric propulsion system in energy products currently under development by US Hybrid. The collaboration will expand the use of FF’s technology—first developed for passenger vehicles—into the commercial vehicle space. Specifically, the partnership will provide powertrain systems for commercial shuttle buses and drayage trucks.

“As a forward-thinking leader in clean energy EV technology, we’re confident that with efforts like this, FF can play a significant role in not only saving the planet from adverse climate change but also showcasing our innovative technology to other companies,” said Carsten Breitfeld, CEO of FF.

“US Hybrid is pleased to partner with FF in order to help expand the manufacturing of innovative zero-emission powertrain components that reduce vehicle weight and cost while increasing efficiency for electric, hybrid, and fuel cell medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles,” added US Hybrid CEO Abas Goodarzi.
