EV battery startup Chemix has introduced MIX, an AI-powered design platform, to expedite the commercialization of next-generation batteries.
The MIX platform integrates battery-specific AI algorithms and datasets to expedite and enhance battery design, testing variations in materials and chemistries. Chemix has utilized MIX to test over 2,000 battery material designs in over 40 commercially-relevant battery configurations, accumulating approximately 3 million test cycles. Chemix has also released its first generation of AI-designed batteries for customer prototypes and it aims to begin full battery production with its cell manufacturing partners later this year.
“At Chemix, we have invested significant resources into building processes for acquiring higher volume, quality, and diverse battery data, which is critical for practically applying AI to accelerate EV battery development,” said Kaixiang Lin, co-founder and CEO of Chemix.
