In Jay Leno’s Garage, the talk show host and autophile has reviewed several electric vehicles, and interviewed various movers and shakers in the EV industry. In this latest video, Jay talks with Henrik Fisker, a star designer for Aston-Martin and BMW, and the creator of the Fisker Karma luxury sedan.

Fisker explains how the Karma works, and why it’s called an extended-range EV rather than a hybrid. The two discuss some of the car’s unique features, including the stylish photovoltaic cells and the front-mounted exhaust pipes. Fisker tells Jay that his goal was to make an environmentally-friendly car look cool. The Fisker Karma sedan is now on sale in the US, although deliveries have been suspended while they fix a software glitch, starting at a price of $102,000.
