This week’s video and blog post from GM offers a tantalizing peek at the company’s new Spark EV. In the video, the Spark’s photogenic lead engineer, Trista Schieffer, tells us that the Spark is ready for something called a “65% calibration ride,” and we see a small group of Sparks heading out onto the streets of Southern California for a test drive.
And that’s about it. GM announced last October that the all-electric version of the Spark mini-hatchback is scheduled to go into limited production in 2013, but hasn’t revealed any technical details. However, according to Ms Schieffer, if you should happen to see one of the camouflage-painted Sparks somewhere in the SoCal sprawl, you can scan the QR code on the side of the vehicle to learn more. If you do, please let us know what you find out.
