There are several cars that have fan clubs of fanatical and fiercely loyal owners – GTOs, Minis, VW camper fans – but Tesla must hold some sort of record for inspiring such a close-knit group in such a short span of time.

Model S and Roadster owners will be celebrating their green, tech-savvy style at a two-day conference in Silicon Valley. Teslive will be hosted by the Tesla Motors Club and will feature activities sponsored by Tesla Motors itself. It takes place July 12th at the Crowne Plaza San Jose.

The pioneers of electric mobility will peruse exhibits, swap stories, and attend a party at Tesla’s Fremont factory, then convoy up for a drive through the California hills.

The event is limited to 300 attendees, but organizers hope to make it an annual event that will grow over time. The San Jose Mercury News reports that the conference will feature keynote speaker Elon Musk.
