Kansas City International Airport has taken delivery of 4 BYD electric 30-foot coach buses, which will serve as parking lot shuttles, bringing passengers to the airport terminals.
BYD built the e-buses at its Lancaster, California manufacturing facility, and customized them to include luggage racks for passenger use.
BYD offers 7 electric coach and bus models, and has delivered over 140 to customers across North America. The company recently completed an expansion of its Lancaster factory, which will eventually give it a capacity of 1,500 e-buses per year.
