Buick has launched its latest EV, the Velite 6 Plus MAV (multi-activity vehicle) in China.

The Velite 6 Plus MAV offers a range of 255 miles, improving on the Velite 6’s range of 187 miles. Buick has increased battery capacity to 52.5 kWh and its energy density to 140 wh/kg. The new EV offers 110 kW of maximum power and 350 Nm of torque.

The Velite 6 series is available in six variants at prices ranging from RMB 165,800 (about $23,479) to RMB 199,800 ($28,293).

“Buick is providing exciting solutions to cater to the growing number of car buyers across China who wish to drive a new energy vehicle,” said Molly Peck, Executive Director of Buick for SAIC-GM. “The Velite 6 Plus MAV will also help promote vehicles powered by electricity and increase their acceptance by consumers.”
