AMP Electric Vehicles has opened its first dealership in the company’s hometown, Cincinnati, Ohio. AMP specializes in converting legacy vehicles to electric power, including the Mercedes ML350 and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs. The new showroom is adjacent to Dana Hackney’s Mercedes Benz and Jeep dealerships.
“We are very excited and proud to share this important moment,” said Hackney. “To many people, the EVs that are on the market today are small. AMP all-electric SUVs offer a unique full-size EV experience. The wait is over. People wanting a full-size EV can now order an AMP.”
Prices start around $57,500 and are eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit. The company plans to start delivering vehicles before the end of 2012.
