Spanish bus manufacturer Irizar launched the next generation of its electric bus at a recent bus fair. Available in 10-, 12-, 15- and 18-meter models, the new ie bus features weight reduction, higher passenger capacity, more efficient batteries, and new interior and exterior design, compared to the prior model.
The new ie model has a 350 kWh battery pack and a range of 250 km in urban environments and standard weather conditions. That’s equivalent to about 17 hours of operation, according to Irizar. The new ie’s charging capacity varies from 50 to 600 kW.
Irizar’s ie bus model has been in operation in several European cities since 2014.
