The dynamic development of new electric vehicles and batteries present ongoing challenges and opportunities. Ultrasonic welding technology is a proven joining process that is increasingly specified by carmakers for use in EV for cable to terminal connections, bus bars, battery manufacturing and power electronics.
Greg Ruscak, Telsonic’s Applications Manager will provide an overview of several ultrasonic welding applications currently used in Electric Vehicles. The presentation explains details of each application as well as the innovative and exclusive technology that Telsonic utilizes to provide the best quality joining solutions. The demonstrated applications will explore the capabilities of conventional ultrasonic linear welding as well as the exclusive Telsonic Torsional SONIQTWIST® and PowerWheel® technology.
Greg Ruscak joined Telsonic right after completing his studies in Mechanical Engineering at Wentworth institute of Technology in 2015. He started working as the Applications Engineer in Telsonic Boston’s application laboratory. Since then, he has been working creatively and systematically to meet demanding customer needs by solving some of the most challenging applications. Many of these applications have made it successfully into production and are now present in a broad spectrum of automobiles, trucks and many other vehicles and products. These accomplishments, along with his focus on continuous improvement using his Six Sigma experience and scientific approach, led him to become the Applications Manager serving the Americas market from our Boston location. His emphasis in our Linear, Torsional, and PowerWheel® technologies has helped to expand the application spectrum for the automotive industry.
