U.S. Steel converts diesel locomotives to battery power

U.S. Steel has converted two of its diesel switcher locomotives at its Mon Valley Works plants to lithium-ion battery operation.  The locomotives were built by Louisiana-headquartered Innovative Rail Technologies (IRT).
