Ceylon Graphite’s spheroidized vein graphite anode shows strong performance in full-cell testing

Ceylon Graphite has completed full-cell testing using spheroidized vein graphite materials in commercial-size pouch cells, and the company says the results meet OEM specifications. Ceylon Graphite says that in 2021-2023 testing, its Sri Lankan vein graphite anodes outperformed industry-standard commercial synthetic graphite and had outstanding repeatability. Ilika leads £8.2-million collaboration with industry experts to develop  automotive solid-state battery

British solid-state battery manufacturer Ilika Technologies is leading a 24-month, £8.2-million Faraday Battery Challenge collaboration project. Code-named HISTORY, the project’s focus is on integrating high-silicon-content electrodes into the company’s Goliath solid-state battery in order to enable automotive-level performance. Cabot to invest in US conductive carbon additives capacity for EV battery applications

Specialty chemicals company Cabot plans to invest approximately $200 million in US conductive carbon additives (CCA) capacity over the next five years to enhance its market position and support the transition to EVs. CCAs are used to provide sufficient electrical conductivity to active battery materials, and Cabot’s portfolio includes conductive carbons, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanostructures and blended CCAs.
