As automakers add EVs to their lineups, testing and validation of new models impacts time to market. Automakers can save time by selecting subcomponents that are pre-validated for their application.

Donaldson develops core venting technologies to address various battery pack requirements and tests its battery vents extensively using standard and non-standard test methods.

In this presentation, we will review how proper subcomponent testing can reduce time to market and outline the advantage of validated core technologies over custom-developed solutions. Examples will be shown of application-specific battery vent test methods.
