The Need For Competent Risk Assessment In EV Charging Infrastructure Rollout

Presented by:

  • Graeme Warnell, Director, EV-EXBOX

As the demand for EV charging increases globally, charging locations are being installed in a wide range of facilities, from bus depots and gas stations to public car parks. EV-EXBOX has surveyed many of these facilities and found that little thought is being given to the risks associated with the spread of fire within and beyond the boundaries of the charging facility or how toxic firewater runoff will be prevented from entering the environment.

Join this session, where we will highlight the potential issues, discuss what risks need to be considered, and share some examples of EV infrastructure where there are clear risks concerning both public and environmental safety that have been ignored.
