Advanced Product Solutions Address Technical Challenges Of EV Motor Insulation

EV motors are increasing in rotational speed, voltage levels and combined with higher frequency semiconductor inverters. These conditions lead to a higher likely hood of rotor imbalance and partial discharges in the stator insulation.

This presentation will highlight product solutions to address the technical challenges. Full void-free encapsulation limits thermal and electrical aging due to partial discharges and increases EV motor lifetimes. It will also be illustrated how modeling capability helps to faster meet the customers’ critical requirements.
