Dymax introduces lineup of light-curable adhesives and coatings for stationary energy storage systems

Dymax, a manufacturer of light-curable materials and associated equipment, has introduced an assortment of light-curable adhesives and coatings designed for stationary energy storage systems like industrial gas turbines (IGTs) as well as fuel cells and electrolyzers, including solid oxide (SOFC) and proton exchange membrane (PEMFC).

Dymax says the adhesives, coatings, encapsulants, sealants and maskants are designed to address challenges in energy applications related to durability, efficiency and safe operation in assembly and end-product performance.  They are suitable for environments that require resistance to high temperatures and harsh chemicals.

Gasket sealants and adhesives are used in the manufacture of SOFC and PEM fuel cell stacks. Maskants protect gas turbine engine components during surface finishing, and conformal coatings and encapsulants protect printed circuit boards housed in IGT control systems. The products also provide electrical insulation and mechanical stability to battery assemblies in ESS and battery packs.

“Our products are developed with an in-depth understanding of the challenges in this sector,” said Dymax Business Development Manager Virginia Hogan, “ensuring that they not only simplify the assembly process but also enhance the operational effectiveness and longevity of the systems.”
