Atom Power has come up with a novel way to simplify charging stations, potentially reducing equipment and maintenance costs. Atom’s UL-listed solid-state digital circuit breaker centralizes the power management system—the smart technology that charges the vehicle resides in the electrical panel, and the charging pedestal or wall box does not contain high-tech electronics.
Now technology solutions integrator ESD Global has selected Atom Power to provide EVSE to a large charging project for multi-family buildings in New York City.
The project includes nine multi-family residential buildings in Jamaica, Queens. ESD Global will also help the residents obtain federal and state EV incentives.
“Our fully digital circuit breaker can seamlessly manage the variability that comes with renewable resources and increased EV charging without disrupting our quality of life,” said Atom Power VP of Sales Ryan Rizor. “Simply put, our technology enables the electrification of everything.”
“With EV adoption happening at an exponential pace, EV charging infrastructure needs to be scaled up and enhanced in parallel,” said ESD Global President Vrindavanam Murali. “Atom Power’s EVSE, along with ESD-Connect integrated software, maximizes efficiency, minimizes utility expenses and enhances long-term sustainability.”
