Technology provider Arrow Electronics has signed an agreement with Scottish battery monitoring technology Dukosi to distribute its battery management systems.
Dukosi’s technology streamlines battery management systems by using contactless communication for monitoring and optimizing batteries. This simplifies battery system architecture, reduces the risk of short circuits and enables accurate and granular data analysis at cell level, according to the companies.
Unlike battery management systems that use complex wiring harnesses, Dukosi’s Cell Monitoring System operates through a decentralized system that transmits cell data synchronously with deterministic latency via secure and reliable contactless communication. The system monitors and records essential data for each battery cell individually, allowing for more efficient control, extended service life and sustainable use of battery systems.
This technology contributes to improved EV range and safety and enables efficient use of battery systems for stationary energy storage.
The collaboration will introduce Dukosi’s cell monitoring systems to Arrow’s diverse global customer base.
“Working with Arrow on a global basis is a great opportunity to extend our reach with their logistics and technical support capabilities,” said Joseph Notaro, VP of Global Sales and Marketing at Dukosi. “Arrow will help further drive adoption of Dukosi’s battery cell monitoring solutions for an electric future.”
